The Item: Saver

Definition

A Saver is an item used to save data into a named file. It contains one input slot which is the data file to save, and one output slot which is the same input file. If the file is not specified then Ariane generates an error.

Any type of data file is acceptable. However, to visualize the file it is necessary to specify a convenient visualization program by the way of the global preferences dialog box (menu Options), or to use a Viewer item with the convenient visualization program.
